Children and Families

Saint Mary’s seeks to make a relationship with Christ real and tangible for our children.  Through our teachings, we invite the children to develop a solid foundation of Biblical knowledge while encouraging them to share in our parish mission statement:  “FAITH.FAMILY.FRIENDS”

  • Nursery Facilities
    • Nursery care is provided every Sunday during the 10:00 am service for all children 4 and under.
  • Sunday School (Kindergarten – Grade 5)
    • We have an active and lively Sunday school program. We currently have over 30 children enrolled in our program representing 20 families. Saint Mary’s parents volunteer to assist our children in learning bible stories through a rotation into arts & crafts, cooking, games, music, Bible teaching and movies which together make for a fun learning environment.
  • Youth Program (Grades 6 – 12)
    • Saint Mary’s Youth Ministry is programming for the parish’s high school and middle school youth, grades six through twelve. SMY’s direct focus is to assist parents’ efforts to prepare our young people for the challenges presented growing up in today’s society. SMY normally meets on second and fourth Sundays in the “Youth Room”.
    • Wyld Life, a nation-wide ministry for middle school students, meets on our campus.
  • Acolyte Corps
    • Our acolyte teams, comprised of youth in grades 3-12, serve Sunday at the 10:00 am service and at Holy Day services throughout the year.
  • Saint Mary’s Episcopal Day School
    • Saint Mary’s Episcopal Day School is a ministry of Saint Mary’s Episcopal Church and was founded in 1953 by a rector and a dedicated group of parents who saw the need for a church-affiliated school with a strong academic environment. Emphasis was placed on attracting top-level faculty members who combined their teaching skills with a desire to offer individualized attention to each student.  Learn more about Saint Mary’s Episcopal Day School at their homepage http://www.smeds.org/main.htm
